There are many products on the market specially made for dreads. Two brands that I really like are:

 

- Dollylocks

- Rawroots Organic

 

That does not mean that I also use many products. I use shampoo myself for washing and occasionally "texturizer spray" After updating my dreads to make it tidy.

 

In general, dreads do not like water. They will certainly not be any nicer. That is why it is definitely advisable to always shower with a shower cap.

 

Also sleeping with a "nightcap" to not let your dreads fluff is recommended.
