Dreadlock Care Routine
A good care routine is essential for keeping your dreadlocks healthy, strong, and fresh. With the right products and a little TLC, your dreads will stay supple and well-formed. Below, you'll find a simple routine for daily and weekly maintenance.

1. Wash with Shampoo
Wash your hair with a liquid shampoo or a shampoo bar specifically formulated for dreadlocks. We recommend washing twice :
First wash: Removes dirt, sweat, and excess oil. The shampoo will often only foam slightly – don't add more shampoo.
Second wash: provides a deeper clean and allows the active plant extracts to work more effectively. Your dreads will feel airy, clean, and fresh afterward.
👉 Tip: After washing, squeeze out excess water and let your dreads air dry or use a microfiber towel.

2. Feed with Oil
Distribute a small amount of Hydrating Oil between your palms and massage it into the lengths and ends of your dreads. For very dry hair, you can use Lush Repair Oil – it provides intensive hydration and nourishment.
Apply the oil when your hair is still towel-dried; this will help moisture penetrate the hair fiber better, keeping your hair hydrated for longer.

3. Palm Rolling & Maintenance
Palm rolling (rolling the dreads between your palms) is important for both new and mature dreadlocks. It helps maintain their shape, trap loose hairs, and strengthen your dreads.
Usage:
Tightening Spray – ideal for new, frizzy, or loose dreads. This spray provides firmer texture, tames frizz, and creates an even appearance without weighing hair down.
Tightening Gel – perfect for mature dreads that need some extra care and hydration. The gel strengthens and shapes your dreads naturally.
👉 Tip: Palm roll after applying the spray or gel for best results.

4. Between Washes
To freshen up your dreads between washes, use Refreshing Mist . It instantly provides moisture, freshness, and a subtle scent – ideal after a long day or workout.
Do you suffer from an itchy or dry scalp? Then use Rescue Tonic and apply it directly to your scalp. It provides fast relief , soothes irritation, and provides extra hydration.
✨ Extra tip: sleep with a satin or silk scarf or pillowcase to reduce friction and keep your dreads nice and smooth.
